Really ATT/Direct TV-we didn’t have NBC for over a month in December and early January, now no ABC? Common denominator here is ATT, not the networks! I spend a small fortune to have cable, and I can not even watch network TV; give me a break! Oh, that’s right, you offered $10 off my bill, but I had to apply for it, it wasn’t just a given.
I know I am a dinosaur by still having cable tv; hoping to get rid of it in the next few months once life settles down.
I could watch Bob Ross paint all day long,
On a group tour (without a friend). The kindest word I can say about the other participants is that they are odd. Narcissistic, misogynistic are less kind but also come to mind. Good thing I have strong self-esteem, because these people treat me like I’m invisible. I know it’s a first world problem, but damn, it makes a really fun hobby less so. I miss my family and my dog. I can’t wait to go home.
Do you need to give your opinion about everything — on every thread? Also, I’m dating myself when I say this: you sound like a broken record.
Night before we drove to Seattle, D and her whole family got some viral stuff (not C or Flu) and we cancelled. Then a week later, I got some viral/or bacterial stuff today ( not C or Flu) the night before we again were going to go. Unless you can get this by face time, I think I got it in my Zumba class. Just trying to be normal.
I adore Billie Eilish.
Hoping all of our California folks are safe…
For the love of Pete, stop making everything about you and your kids. No one cares.
I do not give a rip if Impossible To Get In U is changing their test policy.
Also, holy mother of God, parts of CA have received over 9” of rain in 48 hr!
I’m convinced your comments are generated specifically for the rise they will get from others around you.
My toe still hurts, but I am thrilled to know that it’s not broken. I can get back to my daily walks in a day or two. I’m celebrating that news.
Yay—breathing better is so wonderful, especially after getting a pesky infection. Hope I can get back to 100% but will take what I have for now.
A few weeks ago ‘they’ (don’t know who) lined the street with no parking signs but no dates on the signs. Sometimes they do street sweeping because I live in a city neighborhood that doesn’t have the monthly sweeping like most of the city, April to Oct. Then those signs disappeared.
Last week a different type of sign appeared (like a sandwich board) but not in front of every house. Some drawing on the street, some drilling and marking but nothing big, except on Friday they put this big ‘Road Closed’ sign in front of my house, but against the curb and no actually closing anything. Then we got about 8 inches of snow on Sat so if they were planning on doing any work, it would be delayed (or so I thought). This morning I woke up to them digging a big hole in front of my driveway. No notice that my car wouldn’t be going anywhere. It was Xcel (power company) and there were about 10 trucks with diggers and bobcats and a whole lot of guys to look at the guy digging the hole. I was pissed because they didn’t tell me to move the car in case I wanted to go anywhere. Now they seem to be done and had a special machine with a blade that’s purpose seem to be to pound the dirt in the hole flat against the walls of the hole. I hadn’t seen that machine before.
And now yet another acquaintance is diagnosed with leukemia. This time, the spouse of H’s Coworker. Unlike H, theirs is acute and must undergo treatment asap. I feel terribly for them. There just seems to be so many from here.
If you can’t say anything nice…
Amazon, I already only order from you when I have no other options. Now I’m looking harder and thinking longer about need vs. want when it comes to purchases from you, and trying to find alternatives. You continue to advertise items as made in the USA when they’re not, or made in various other countries when they’re made in China.
It used to be that when a store sold merchandise that was not as described or was defective, they’d do a UPS call tag and have the return picked up. These days, I either have to haul stuff to Whole Foods, Staples or Kohl’s to return or pay $8 for UPS to come get it.
…and most of the mean/rude kids with top stats got shut out. So. Karma.
Mean girl cliques never dissolve, do they?
Note to self–always check you have the right order when picking up groceries. Was doing a couple quick errands after pickup when I got a call from a woman who also had not checked her groceries–we had each others! Luckily I was not far from her house, so I swung by and we swapped bags.
But I will check the name next time for sure, and I am sure she will too!
