RIP, Toby Keith. You became controversial in your later years, but you had a hell of a catalog. Ds2 called to talk about how your stuff was the soundtrack of his life, especially My List. 62 from cancer. Just sucks.

To the kid at school today who told my kid, “Oh, you can’t be in the Wear Your Heritage Day pics. You’re white. This is only for brown people. Besides, white people don’t have culture”…you suck.

If you’re going to criticize the hearing person who teaches ASL as a community program for kids, and you say you’ve been telling her for ten years she’s wrong and has to stop, wouldn’t it make sense to find someone in the Deaf community to teach it? You actually said people should learn foreign languages from a native speaker. ?!? I can think of only one teacher in my or my kids’ schools who was a native speaker. You say that’s different because there aren’t enough native speakers to teach foreign languages. Well, if you’ve been upset about this situation for ten years and can’t find a Deaf teacher, I guess that says something.
I know the ASL teacher, and she’s a sweetheart. She does not deserve to be treated this way.
(MTA: I should add that I can actually see the point about it being better for someone in the Deaf community to teach ASL, but if the alternative is not to offer a class at all, it seems short-sighted.)

I get it. You hate that society is apparently moving in a different direction than you think is good. But, you never even sent your kids to the public school 20 years ago when you had school age kids. Could you stop coming to the school board meetings and spewing hate? And, like, seriously, you asked for a European-American “diversity” month? Just… you seem like a very sad person with nothing to look forward to aside from making horrible comments about “the kids” every 2 weeks for 3 minutes of public comment.

I feel as if I’m being held hostage by West Elm’s delivery team. As soon as they arrived, one man told me that I’ll be texted a survey and I need to give them a positive rating. They don’t leave until the survey is completed. I’m already put off by that. Then they put dirty mats and parts on the rug (when bare floor was available) and dusty parts on upholstered furniture. When I asked about wonky doors, they said the problem is that my floor is not level. No, it is perfectly level. We can correct the doors. I just hope we can resolve the off-gassing ASAP. I wish I could have found what we need in a consignment store.

Taking a photo and laughing at the poor man going through a mental health crisis while saying things to provoke him is disgusting and dangerous. Don’t look shocked when several of us tell you to cut the crap.

I went to an event tonight at a major museum in a large city. The beautifully printed program they handed out said Friday, February 8, 2024. Did nobody review this before they printed them out? How embarrassing!
Been in Kansas City the last week…these people are more crazy than usual and that’s saying something.
