Schizophrenia sucks. I keep thinking I’ll get used to how it affects my son, but I don’t. It’s like a regular punch to the gut.
A single income household cannot afford two-income taste. Just sayin
Got a free load of mulch delivered today thanks to Chip Drop. Costs me nothing and it diverts tree waste away from landfills. And it helps my backyard garden survive the blast furnace summer here in AZ.
This triggers my nosy neighbor. She used to ask me why I was having horse manure delivered. I am not sad that this mulch bothers her. Yes, I’m petty. Gary the Gopher moved into her yard. I wasn’t sad about that either.
Son-in-law 2 got a good job offer today! He finished his PhD in Dec. D1 starts a new job on Monday after 8 years as a full-time homemaker. Now if son-in-law 1 can find something we will be back to full employment among the off spring!
Thank you, urban coyotes, for guarding my tulips . The population of rabbits has been on a steady decline since you started patrolling my yard.
We might see some blooms soon!
I seem to be the only one who doesn’t get all this eclipse fuss. So many people travelling hours by car or a plane ride away for a four minute event (which might be too cloudy to see). One friend is driving with her entire family including her elderly father 5 hours to sleep in a cabin to see this. Another flying halfway across the country. I am in an area where there will be some coverage. I plan on will traveling to my patio to look at the sun when it happens.
I said it about a month ago, but it still applies. I am OVER wearing winter clothes! Would like to do a major dump of my closet! My skin wants to BREATHE!!!
It’s going to snow for another 23 hours. We have out of state company who want to get out and do something. Snowshoeing, maybe? They’re certainly not going to drive anywhere.
Snow now?
Your child is graduating from college in May and has never sought out an internship nor a job in his life. Now you’re on social media asking for connections for him to find an internship with housing and decent $. Shouldn’t he be looking for a JOB? Stop enabling this child so he can become an adult!
(p.s. I’ve watched you order his food at restaurants as well. Come on.)
Okay, did not have pacemaker on my bingo card.
Screw in the tire of a rental. Sorry, Hertz but we can’t drive it 3.5 hrs away to an international airport. Hoping plan B will work.
The whole house just rumbled….turns out….
4.8 earthquake centered in Lebanon NJ
Quite unexpected on the east coast!
Well, an earthquake was the last thing I was expecting this morning! Oh, NJ --you never cease to surprise!
Sorry, Department of Education, but no financial aid director wants to disburse aid on incorrect ISIRs. Not only is it unfair to the students (some will “win,” some will “lose”), but not doing it exactly the way ED expects it to be done - particularly when no one actually knows what that entails - can lead to fines and sanctions. You expect FAAs to fix all errors. Your turn.
Today marks the 50 year anniversary of an unknown (at that time) group winning the EuroVision competion.
Happy Anniversary ABBA…in all your iterations (including the hologram show in London).
For the record. I thought you were cool long before ‘this side of the pond’ acknowledged your coolness !
I’m glad I stumbled across this story. I’m so glad I read it.
I consider myself to be a life-long learner. Today, I learned two things: I prefer the outside temperature to be above 25 degrees Fahrenheit and, that when the smoke alarms go off, the meat is done.
