Last night Pete passed peacefully, surrounded by family. I feel lucky, first to have known him, and also to have seen him recently doing two of his favorite things, sharing sushi and watching the Mariners win.

It is the end of June… we have yet to use our new mini splits in the cooling mode! They are on, just in the heating mode!

20 condos in my complex - 17 occupied by delightful owners; 1 by a narcissist attorney who wants last word on everything; 2 occupied by bullies, one of whom is crazy and who has engaged in verbal and physical abuse of another neighbor in the last 48 hours. Suspect her anger issues are being escalated by alcohol. Where are you, karma?

(Unrelated to #1) If you think “healthcare is handled well in America” bc it is business-based, let me introduce you to my son, who was downsized 3 weeks ago and lost his healthcare as well. He and DiL scrambled to replace it at a high cost while his doctors scrambled to find a charity to pay for his next treatment (16K EACH TIME), which they did. But since his insurance is “new” it all has to be preapproved. But the treatment is on hold anyway bc he’s reacted to this new medicine AND THEY CAN’T START ANYTHING NEW until the insurance starts July 1. So he’s now overdue and we are waiting for the relapse to start.
and this is BETTER than before ACA. Before, he would have just been denied coverage and have to rely on getting a job and then waiting for coverage to start , maybe 30 days or maybe 3 months into a new job.
These laws have real impact on real people. CheeseAndCrackers what a month.

Oh, my gosh, the previous treasurer left the books in a mess. I think I’ve gotten them straightened out. Then an issue came up (due to the bank giving us bad information, it sure wasn’t my fault) and this woman wrote, " (why I am struggling apply my daily work knowledge to the road association is beyond me [sic]) Happy Friday." Good Lord. She reminds us constantly that she does this kind of work every day. I feel so sorry for her clients.

I saw one of those Tesla trucks on the road today. OMG. What an incredibly ugly vehicle. It looks worse in real life than in pictures. Some people have more money than sense.

Couple of things:
- The Acolyte Star Wars series on Disney+ sucks. Whoever did the writing did a pretty bad job. Storyline doesn’t make sense. Parts drag on forever. Some of the dialogue is dumb. The sith guy who showed up…what the heck is that all about? And how come nobody seems to sense disturbances in The Force? How the heck does any of it relate to the rest of Star Wars? It doesn’t.
- (this is not about anybody here) Your kid is going to be an ‘entertainment business’ major. You purposely set up sole custody of your kid with zero child support because you thought that your kid would qualify for pretty much a full ride anywhere. And now you want the dad to cough up money every year for college. And you asked him literally last minute.
What. The. Heck. Some of the required coursework for that major is super dumb. Total waste of time. Good luck. Your kid is going to need it.
