I really, really want to get another dog.

My dog has to go out in the middle of every night to go to the bathroom. Tonight it’s 15 degrees with a feel like temp of 0 because of wind. I can’t begin to say how grateful I am that I had a warm house to come back into.

Low teens this morning with a windchill around 0 and guess what? None of the nutty boys at the bus stop were wearing shorts and t-shirts. LOL!

I wish I was as unburdened to remember any conversation as my husband is.

5:30 check-in, which means I have to be up at 3:30 to do the shower, etc. If I get up at 3:25, I’ll have 5 minutes to down a Nespresso lungo or 2 shots of decaf. :crossed_fingers:t2::joy:

Gutted for you, losing your home in the Palisades fire. I wish so much that I could do something.

I’m not sure that the emotional abuse is worth the money, but that’s easy for me to say. I hope you find some peace after this trip and that if you feel like you need to walk away then so be it.

I’m really impressed with the intelligence of our CC parent community, and it’s so cool how people share in an effort to help each other.

I worked in Altadena for several years in the mid-aughts. As news starts trickling out so many I knew and worked with have lost their homes. I don’t know how that city will recover but it will never be the same. So tragic.

My H is very concerned for the service members who are holding very heavy flags in the bitter cold wind. He’s hoping that the casket is moved inside soon so that the poor guys can put down the flags & warm up inside! The guy at the back is really struggling to hang on.

And how nice to see a little civility today.

Houseguest: The constant negativity is tiresome.

Son, you’re doing SO WELL right now. What I can’t say is that it makes me nervous, because in the past your hospitalizations seemed to follow periods of time when you were doing so well. I wish there was something more I could do to ensure your stability.

Please at least see a new audiologist. You haven’t had your hearing tested in years and you gave those old hearing aids only a brief try. Your granddaughters get so frustrated when trying to talk to you, and they’re not the only ones. I’ve asked repeatedly and if I ask again I am sure to lose my temper. You screwed up at the pharmacy today because you didn’t hear me explain about the Rx and then you denied that I ever told you. That’s the third important thing in the last two days that you’ve said you weren’t told about. I know I didn’t imagine telling you. I even asked you to let me know when you could pause your game to make eye contact, and that didn’t help. If you won’t try for me, then try for your granddaughters before they give up talking to you.

Really didn’t want to do it but when you are in Los Angeles seating with go bag ready but get emergency notification on your phone to evacuate for the second time in 24 hours in error and this time at 4am you have no choice but turn off emergency notifications.

Shaking my head at our local school system. The last two days they went on a 2 hour delay because of the “frigid morning temperatures” (aka 19-20 degrees). Today, they are getting out 2 hours early for an impending 3-4" snow storm (supposed start flurrying late this afternoon to early evening), but they are going in on time. But today’s morning temp is the same as it was the previous two days when it was too cold? Just SMH… Welcome to winter in the south… We make no sense!
