IT’S SNOWING!!! I know we are made fun of for getting so excited about snow in Atlanta but it doesn’t come often and when it does it is so beautiful, peaceful, a quiet muffling softness to everything. Schools shut down or go online, businesses go remote, no snow plows, just a little salt and sand to help those who must get out. We don’t get that ugly brown slush - it’s snow and it’s gone, just like that. So, yes we do enjoy our snow days! Ahhhhhhh - love it! Edit: and I got up early to make chili for lunch, it’s cooking now.

Let’s support better pay for professional female athletes by going to their games and/or watching them on TV, their app streaming, YouTube, etc. These athletes are amazing and fun to watch. Great thing to do with your friends or kids!

I’m tired of being billed for this charge that I am not obligated to pay. I’m sorry that you, the hospital, cannot figure out how to properly indicate the date of service for you, the insurance company, to allow payment. But I didn’t do anything wrong, and I’m tired of being told that you “sent it up to management.” Obviously, management is inept. Screening mammograms are 100% covered, so fix it.

It is cold here in the south and will be colder in Norway when we go on a Vikings cruise at the end of the month. So how is it that I have found 8 single gloves. I have absolutely no idea where the mates could be. I am too old for this!!!

I rode 18 miles on my bike today. It felt good to get out of my head for 2 hours. If you ever pass me when I’m riding, I’m not screaming for help…it’s me singing

Oh, I am so tired of snow. Last night some teenagers were using a shopping cart to sled down the hill across the street from us. This morning the area was covered with trash and empty cans of beer and “seltzer”. People are walking their dogs and not cleaning up; people are letting their dogs run off leash because they’re “friendly”; “the dogs just want to play”; I just want to walk mine without falling. Yes, I’m grumpy.

OMG summer vacation rental prices are UNREAL in Michigan and Canada. I feel like we could jump on a plane and go to some remote beach in another country for less! It’s depressing.

Gap, you have had my returned order for 10 days which was shipped with your UPS label. I have done 2 online chats with you, and I have been told, that yes, you show the package received. When I questioned why my online account does not show the package as returned, I am told that I need to allow at least 15 business days for the item to show as returned. 
Usually I return in store, but didn’t want to stand in the long return lines after Christmas, so figured it would be easier to just send back with the provided UPS label. While I know this will get resolved, I think 3+ weeks to be credited for a return is a bit much. This will be the last time I will do a shipping return when in store is available. In store shows on my credit card as I am still standing in the store. Imagine someone that needs the money for something else before the long return process.

UPS seems to have lost most of D26’s Christmas gifts. I sent what didn’t fit into her luggage and it was to be delivered 3 days ago. Now tracking just says they will update when they can. I’ll go into the store Monday to see what the options are, but I really hope it reappears in their system before then.

Sorting through the boxes of photos my mother left has made me realize how different my childhood was from my sisters. I’m glad it’s done and those are photos I’ll never have to look at again. The envelopes for my college and law school graduations? Filled with photos of her and other events. Thanks Mom and Dad.

Being home feels so good. The walker is not something I expected, but it should just be for a week or so. H’s engineer soul just loves tracking meds and drains; dealing with the Nespresso though, may send him over the edge. I’m happy to sleep in my own bed and adjust it the way I like. Hospital beds are the devil.
I’m glad I waited. I’m happy I was happy with how I thought it would be before I said yes. I wish I hadn’t seen photos of others, because while I’m only 5 days in, I think it looks ok. Everyone is different, results may vary, more bad stuff is talked about than good stuff.

Well, UPS changed the tracking to info on filing a claim yesterday. And then today - it’s back and on it’s way! She should get the box today sometime. Crossing my fingers that it’s all intact.
