Today I got a SPAM LIKELY notice with a call. Then I got a call from a number I didn’t know and it said it was some auto thing (insurance or warranty?). Then I got another SPAM likely alert.
When I got home there was a message from United Health that I needed to complete some form. Why is it coming up as SPAM from my insurance company?

Good news phone call. The SSA returned my call today when I asked for a call back…and took all my info, and also scheduled my phone appointment with my local office for Feb 18. Not too bad. And the person was one of the nicest and best customer service people I’ve ever dealt with!

to person 1: Every time you say “maybe” or “we’ll see,” we all know that what you really mean is no. Just say no. We can handle it. In the meantime, this is a bad look for you. Makes it look like you’re dishonest.
To person 2: maybe you should slow down on contact sports since you’re in your 50s and you’ve already had 2 knee replacement surgeries.
To person 3: Super glad that you live on the other side of the country and that your health problems prevent you from visiting us. You’ve been the most toxic person I know for the last 14 yr. Geography is my friend.

My best friend of 35 years…the person we made the guardian for my kids, whose wedding i was in, who i respect and look up to probably more than anyone else in the world was just diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. She is 55.

Beware—there are scammers everywhere. Folks, always do you due diligence and if the texter is acting strange or whatever, just stop participating in the conversation. Better to be safe than sorry. Please consider having a safe word or phrase with loved ones so they can be sure that YOU really are YOU. My relative who works at a bank has had a lot of very sad cases of folks who have been scammed out of significant assets. With AI, voices can be imitated pretty well. Once funds leave the bank, the bank can’t get them back!

It may be too late but if anyone relies on anything that is in a federal government database, please copy it to somewhere you can access it because a lot of govt websites are being wiped. The BRFSS (which collects annual health data of all 50 states) was one of the casualties. Fortunately, some people thought ahead and copied it all and have put it on a NON-govt server so it is not lost forever and can still be used.
