Is there no bottom?
Maybe I’m a fatalist, but I’ve decided this year I’m getting in the camper and visiting as many national parks as possible. My planning starts today - mapping our route to Colorado.
Looks like we picked the right time for this vacation.
Freezing cold with lots of wind at home, and power has been out.
I am so disappointed in the community that touts itself as live and let live. Y’all showed your true colors this morning.
No idea what’s going on, but I was at Maui airport heading home. 2 separate announcements (not my flight) “entertainment app is not working but Starlink is, so if you have a tablet you’re in luck” and “2 of the restrooms onboard are out of service so you might want to use the lavatory before boarding” - I won’t even describe the 3 pilots I’ve seen coming through the airport talking with crew about the Delta flight in Canada earlier today.
I’m not a nervous flyer but I’ve discovered there’s always a first time.
Maui was beautiful as ever.
Never been happier to land and get home.
The upside: I got to spend another 8 hours having fun with my cousins in Naples.
The downside: My 1:35pm flight from Fort Meyers to Boston, was canceled, so after multiple flight changes and delays we ended up landing at 2 a.m., got home at 3:14, got to bed at 4:45 and I got to the office at 8:00.

The doctor is great. She’s happy with the healing thus far, but the right side of my ab incision needs some more attention. TG H is good with dealing with things like this; I can’t even look at look at it, let alone pack it.
I can finally drive, sleep on my side, lift more than 5 lbs, and wear some of my usual things. That surgical stuff can go away!
I’m pretty sure that vacuuming is still prohibited. ![]()
She isn’t my favorite person, but the nasty comments you people posted on a public forum were uncalled for.
There is a fine line between sanity and remaining informed - I switch back and forth and feel conflicted when I land on sanity…today is a sanity day.
We had a low impact snowfall overnight and temps are falling, so once again our local news has preempted all of the national morning shows. I remember when I lived two hours to the northwest of Nashville as a child and it was necessary to have local news take over programming to announce school & business closures ( before scrolling on the bottom of tv, let alone the internet & Snowman 6). It just continues to amaze me that manageable snow is such a news event here.
Oceans do not separate people in the way they once did.
I’ve heard the stories from there and I heard them from there and I believe the ones from there more than the ones from there.
You’re supposed to be the ones keeping an even keel and helping others to remain calm and rational. Don’t start acting like the ones you’re supposed to calm down; it’s not helpful and it’s definitely not a good look.
I don’t get the use of the word “disinformation.” Is it supposed to sound more palatable than “lying?”
Thank you, NBC, for blessing my day with the piece on the Timeless Torches. At a time when I feel overwhelmed by current events, I was able to feel joy for a few minutes while watching the fun the Torches were having together and sharing with viewers.
For 20+ yrs the engineers have been going to schools to do STEM stuff because these places are so underfunded they couldn’t afford it themselves and it has uncovered many a young engineer and all that but that stoppage letter made my ever so practical DH weep, and I won’t be forgiving that anytime soon.
3.5 hr 2 weeks ago for root canal part 1. 3.5 hr today for root canal part 2 of same tooth. Man, I don’t want to repeat that process ever again if I can help it. THAT SUCKED!
