With soccer son home for spring break we ordered pizza last night from his favorite place. The standard order is 2 large pizzas, one is a cheese pizza and the other is half bacon/half pepperoni.
When I called I didn’t recognize the voice. When I ordered there was a surprising level of confusion. There was a consultation with another worker. There were more questions directed to me. It was almost like a negotiation. We finally agreed to the terms of our mutually beneficial transaction.
Fifteen minutes later soccer son headed out to retrieve our pizzas. When he returned he told me they initially forgot one of the pizzas. He had to wait for them to make the second one. Okay, disaster averted, but I can’t say a snafu was unexpected after the phone call.
I opened the boxes….and there were 2 half bacon, half pepperoni pizzas. No cheese pizza. 
Soccer son: “Who makes two of the same half & half pizzas? If we wanted bacon and pepperoni wouldn’t we have ordered a pepperoni pizza and a bacon pizza?”
Total fail. LOL!

Today I moved an older table lamp from a guest bedroom to our primary bedroom
It was so old it had an incandescent light bulb
I hear of those who hoard incandescent bulbs but it’s been a really long time since I’ve had one.

Huh. You turn 30 today. We sent you birthday wishes and told you we were transferring some birthday money to your account.
And how am I celebrating? By seeing a counselor to discuss what to do about your allegations that we are the worst parents in the world - and no, we never, ever slapped you, which your siblings know. Unbelievable. If it were just you, I would say, “Get therapy and have a nice life,” but your sister is sympathetic towards you and I don’t want to risk losing her.
I like the Facebook meme I saw recently. “My husband and I decided we don’t want children. It was a difficult decision, but we’re telling them tonight.”

You died with an $80M estate. And 20 yr ago, signed a will that left your entire estate to your wife, who was only a couple of yr older than your eldest kid.
Not even mentioning your 3 children in your will is pretty bad. I used to think you were an amazing actor. But clearly, when it came to relationships with your family, you totally sucked at that. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Everybody will come up with excuses for it. I don’t care about their excuses. You reap what you sow. Maybe you shouldn’t have been such a selfish Hollywood tool. Maybe you should have shelled out some of that $80M for regular in-home health aides or in-home nursing care in your later years. Maybe you should have cultivated a closer relationship with your kids in the 60+ years that your children have been alive.
But you know what? Hollywood is filled with narcissists. $80M says that you were one, too.

Dear friends/house guests:
I am so sorry you have been so sick and we have had to mask up throughout your entire stay. I really hope my husband and I stay healthy so that we can meet our new grandson! But the one positive on all of this is that we had to mask up and open the windows and use the vents to bring outside fresh air into the car because dear friend, your husband either needs a very strong shower, needs his clothes washed or has some sort of glandular problem. The smell was pretty overwhelming, so I’m really glad we were able to keep on our masks and open the windows

We downsized to an apartment. Carefully packed about 25 boxes we put in a storage unit. Numbered each box and made a spreadsheet listing the contents of each box (in general terms) with categories. Today is the second time we are looking for something and can’t find it. We are 0 for 2, so much for what we thought was careful. organization of our storage boxes!

Just a few days after the two coyotes attacking humans in the nearby city have been “lethally removed,” a giant coyote carrying something big (a rabbit, I hope!) strolled through my yard! Have to be careful when I take out the trash at night.

Please stop finding animal rescue places and posting on FB…these places are very very far away from where we both live. Every single day, I have to block those new sites…and I’m talking 5-10.
I love animals too. But I’m not going to be much help to folks who lost a pet 2000 miles from here…or places that are offering pet adoptions from so far.
