“Columbia,” is a university. “Colombia,” is a country.

The cruise and travel pics you are posting on Facebook with your location misspelled are driving me crazy

They say ”time seems to go by quicker as you age”.

If only.

It’s got to be a mistake by the lab. Got to be. A change that quickly makes no sense whatsoever.

Dear University of Chicago,
Stop sending mail to my daughter. She’s never going to apply. Your weather sucks. You’re too expensive. And you’d never accept her anyway.

Dear Savannah College of Art & Design,
Stop sending mail to my daughter. She is not going to major in art. You’re too expensive. You’re too sweaty. And you’re too close to her weird grandfather.

Dear Creighton University,
Stop sending mail to my daughter. There’s no hope for you. You require 2 religion classes. My daughter is allergic to religion classes. I’m sure you’re all really nice people, but you have no chance.

Third hospitalization for DH since February. Hoping that the doctors figure this out to stop this cycle.

How many times can you say the same thing?

I was at the grocery where H’s preferred coffee was on super sale. I decided to stock up with 2 or 3 bags. Unfortunately, a well dressed woman had just loaded her cart with every bag of H’s favorite blend. At least 15 bags. I asked her if she could let me have one bag only to be told no. She was on a fixed income. A fixed income that allows you to purchase $150 worth of coffee? Really?

I had to deal with spectrum today.

It felt like an episode of Black Mirror

Dear SIL, I ignored your passive aggressive comments about the fact that there weren’t more pictures of you from the photographer pictures of D’s wedding. I will not comment on the fact that there is exactly one (very old and not particularly good) photo of your brother/his family in the memory book you made for MIL. But I sure would love to say something.

“Colette” was based on a true story. Interesting to see it re-enacted. Also enjoyed watching “The Wife”. Same theme.

I gave Android permission to install an update. I did NOT say it could change all my settings. I did NOT say it could install stupid game apps that I do not want and have no use for. I did NOT say you could change how I turn my phone on and off.

Wouldn’t it be nice if it was easy to turn all these permissions off???

I hate you Google!!!

The bad news is that my friend’s dad passed away unexpectedly earlier this week. The good news is that as a result, we happened to be in the same city at the same time for the first time in several years. I got to spend a little time with her and her mom, which was nice.

Oops–I just posted a bunch of “caring heart” emojis to posts from 2022 on this thread. I don’t know why it always jumps me back there–but those were some interesting “Say Its” :joy:

I went to dinner with my 94 year old parents tonight and made sure I got there before them so I could help them get out of the car. There were 6 handicapped spots, 2 were occupied when I got there. It was so frustrating that the remaining 4 spots were taken up while I was waiting, and particularly frustrating to see the groups that took the spots. They were light years more mobile than my parents. For 3 of the groups I couldn’t even tell which person had an issue. I know there are invisible illnesses, but that seemed like a large percentage to me. I wish those groups could have seen my parents struggling.

This is a difficult situation for everyone. We are all grieving and dealing with this. But criticizing the way the medical professionals are handling this is not helpful.
