Such a long hot day and a sad loss at the end. The better team won - you guys are REALLY, REALLY good at baseball!

D2 got the job offer she wanted recently. I got a call from her Friday afternoon thinking it was going to be some bad news. She was very excited on the phone. I asked her if she had told anyone. She said, “No, you were the first one.” Later I did find out it was because her H didn’t pick up.
I just saw on the news that a baseball player called his mom when he was picked.
It nice to know that we are still high on the list.

That men’s French Open final was nothing short of spectacular and inspiring. Si se puede, Alcaraz.

Definitely a Walla Walla kind of day. Wine tourism with the 5th wheel is the way to go. Who cares about the colleges? Give me wine!

D1 told me today she was calling on a new client today. I told her that I called on them 30+ years ago when I was 8 months pregnant with her, so technically she was seeing them for the second time.
She then checked into a Four Seasons hotel nearby, remembered she had come on a business trip with me when she was young and stayed at the same hotel.
It’s a full circle and amazed how fast time went by.

I was going to wish you a happy birthday on Facebook, but when I clicked on your name to get the birthday prompt I noted that it said that you were turning 49. Funny, I had no idea you were four years old when we graduated high school!

I really do appreciate your cooking dinners while I’m so swamped. But I have to say, pairing Spanish rice with lasagna was… interesting. You won’t hear a word out of me, though.

Do you need something amusing in your life right now? I have to say it is on Twitter, or X if you prefer.

The San Andreas Fault and Mt St Helens have taken on personas, where they threaten to quake or blow in a bit of tit-for-tat in the current “news” situations. It’s parody, and it’s fun.

I love my husband but this is driving me nuts!

I like to have a plan and he likes to not.

Also remember that brevity is good! Why I edited this post!

You talked about me behind my back.

You wrecked something I enjoyed because you couldn’t follow the rules.

When I didn’t want to be your “friend” somehow I’m the bad guy.

You are mean.

I regret not going to your funeral. You were a good neighbor, and although I only met your spouse once and probably wouldn’t even recognize her, attending would have been the right thing to do. The last funeral I attended in a similar situation was poorly attended and very strange, but that shouldn’t have put me off yours.

There are two meals I can think of where I look forward to the sandwiches made with leftovers the next day over the actual meal.

Thanksgiving turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce sandwiches

Meatloaf sandwiches

Yes, I’m currently enjoying a meatloaf sandwich.
