Say it Here ‘Cause You Can’t Say it Directly—The Get it Off Your Chest Thread (NO REPLIES TO OTHER POSTS)

Yay, we “only” have to watch the dog, NOT the dog and 2 cats! One of our cats does NOT get along with one of their cats, and that same cat is terrified of their dog. 4 cats in one house is never idea, but we were willing to do it (kids, it’s what you do  ).

Let’s not repeat it. OK?

Wine tasting starts at $65 per person? Y’all lost your minds, fellas!! Might as well stay home. Our wineries are not that greedy! Many forgive their $15-20 tasting fee with a bottle purchase!

What I’d like to comment on your FB post:

I was thankful to have you as my PCP for many years, but when I read your posts on FB now, I am both sad and sick to my stomach. Your source of propaganda news has changed you and I know many others, some who were your medical colleagues & friends, who have also lost respect for you. Aren’t you supposed to believe in the doctrine of do no harm?

Thunderstorms tomorrow evening- would be as expected as summer arrives. Good to have back up indoor plans.

I am generally the least attentive person when it comes to television commercials and I often DVR a program just so I can fast forward through the ads. However, I have been noticing the Payday candy bar ads lately and the end of the ad concludes with “also look for Chocolate-y Payday.” I am looking in the wild when I check out, etc. and so wish I could find one to try. Do a better job with distribution if you are going to tempt me

Dear library system - changing the digital lending library system with only two weeks notice, right before I leave for vacation is not cool! 1/2 the number of books able to be checked out and 1/2 the number of books on hold is not a positive change no matter how you try to spin it.

Which is less desirable- a crying baby or VERY loud talker in the row behind us? Oh lucky us- we don’t have to choose! We get both! Cue the noise cancelling headphones! :winking_face_with_tongue:

Dear Walmart,

While I appreciate your online fraud protection algorithm, I’m really me, that is really my credit card, and I truly intended to purchase 30 Blackstone grills.

After appreciable time in customer service hold hell I was connected to a perfectly polite customer service agent. He explained that opening a Walmart account to purchase $10,000 in merchandise will always trigger the cancellation of the order. That sounded reasonable to me. He put me on hold for another 5 minutes to address the issue. When he came back he said to wait at least 3 hours and resubmit the same order. It would go through then.

Four hours later I placed the same order.

It was canceled.

I’m moving on to another retailer.

More “stuff” to deal with.

TL; DR: NEVER USE CHASE BANK. Oh, my gosh, what a horrible institution.

My dad’s Chase account and partnership paperwork include “LLP” in the name. The state website, however, does not include “LLP.” The one NICE employee (in my little town in Maine, 2500 miles from Austin!) who has been helping me (all I wanted to do was change the phone number on the account so I would get alerts!!) learned that because of this, a restriction was placed on Dad’s account. I doubt the bookkeeper knew since she’s always on top of everything. The employee said the back office even acknowledged that the state’s site probably doesn’t allow that many characters to be input so “LLP” was left off, but it doesn’t matter. He learned that the deadline to resolve the matter is tomorrow, SUNDAY. He asked for a deadline extension, and they denied him - their own employee!

He said if we showed that an attorney requested a change from the state, it might help, but it’s Saturday and I couldn’t reach her (good, it’s her day off!). So the account will be closed Monday and the balance will be sent to Dad by check. I will be quite thrilled to be done with Chase (there’s more to the story that I will not bore you with), but Dad needs some funds this week for rental repairs and he won’t have access to his money. :frowning: I will have to see if he has a line of credit. Just outrageous.

I don’t think I ever thought in my life any innocent thing I might do would influence my behavior/actions because I must worry about repercussions and yet, here I am at 69 worrying about just that. Pitiful.
