And Verizon, as for you, when the last thing I ask when calling for FIOS service that has been sketchy and you tell me you are sending a technician out is: “It’s not going to cost me anything, is it?” and you say, “No, absolutely not” and then an hour after the technician leaves I get an e-mail saying my account is being charged a $50 service repair visit… well, what am I supposed to do with that???
You assured me in phone call #3 today that the charge would be credited… I’d say the chances are about 30/70 that will happen. You are just counting on the people who don’t look at their (already hefty) bills, aren’t you?
Oh and also, instead of calling me to take a Verizon Survey 2 minutes after I hang up requesting repair, don’t you think it might be reasonable to wait until the tech guy comes to see if my service is actually repaired?
It is an unwritten rule (I don’t know maybe it is written somewhere) that if you are the FIRST in line in the turn lane, when the arrow turns green you GO IMMEDIATELY - you do not have the luxury to check your phone, you do not have the luxury to thumb through papers, you do not have the luxury to glance around at other drivers -while you wait for the light to change - if you are the first in line in the turn lane you GO IMMEDIATELY when the light turns green.
Holy cow! That is your moving estimate? Almost twice what I paid less than two years ago to move here from the place you would be moving me back to? So glad that I have another estimate in process, and so glad that I have peeps who regularly move themselves and could help me load a Penske truck.
United Health Care, I REALLY hate you. The only reason I am enrolled in your plan is that I HAVE to, and I am starting to get cancer from your pathetic excuses of customer services.
I’m so glad I got to talk with you after all these years. And yet, “be careful what you wish for…” It seems you only called to further your own “progress,” become “powerful,” and practice true “freedom,” not because you love me or miss me or it’s the right thing to do, or any other non-you-centered reason. Makes me happy and sad at the same time.
To the young man with whom I interacted today when it was becoming clear that I was headed into a horrible, horrible, no good, very bad day: Please call you mother in Greece and let her know that I thank her for raising such a young man as you.
If there is a bank of three (chairs, bus seats, treadmills, probably urinals though that is hardly my area of expertise) - for Pete’s sake, do not take the middle one if you arrive first! No one wants to share your personal-space bubble if they can avoid it.
Okay, Ralphs Market (Kroger) - You are my neighborhood store and I want to support you, mostly because I like the people who work there. They are long term employees and really try hard to put the customer first. That said, your corporate pricing policies are making me crazy. You are not a big box store so stop trying to act like it - I don’t want to buy 5 of anything in order to get the lowest price. And trying to get me to buy 10 loaves of bread…??? Seriously, who does that? And you wonder why your regular customers are doing more and more shopping at Trader Joe’s and the like…
Be happy you found a job and an apartment and have people who are willing to help you move. Stop pouting because the job isn’t in the city where you wanted to be. You can try to relocate in a year or two when you’ll be a more desirable employee.
Banana bread is the fastest way to H’s heart…he just about ate half a loaf already. Then in the next breath, he doesn’t want to do a couple’s activity that meets maybe 5X a year. Ugh. We will be doing the couples activity - usually have to advise it is that or couple/marriage counseling…
