Not sure which one makes me more unhappy: that you take me for granted in dealing with everything in our lives that’s not about your job, or that you don’t even SEE all the things I take care of in the first place (so you can then take me for granted).

So I made the ‘best’ banana bread ever - the difference between the two loaves I made last week was I decided to check it 5 minutes before the baking time and it was done. That is why last week’s loaves were a little dry - it was done a few minutes earlier but I didn’t check it. Now I know to check minutes before on recipes for oven.
Way to my H’s heart is through his stomach…he also had his fav tuna noodle casserole last night. Things he grew up eating…

So let’s see … The two of us already work more than anyone else here (including the top management) … not that anyone understands what we actually do. But now we get to add recruiting events for high school students to our plate?! We are a grad school, for pete’s sake. We are being asked to do more & more in our own jobs, but you go and add something like this to our plates? So we get to be gone from our families on Saturdays and Sundays - you think that it will be “fun” to all pile in a car and drive 5 hours? Sorry, but I am already looking for new jobs. If I don’t find one, I may end up retiring earlier than I had planned. There is only so much one human being can do … and my coworker & I are already being asked to each do more than one human being can do. Adding something this stupid is pretty much that proverbial straw.

Had to point out to H that you do not gobble the Swiss chocolate I brought back from Switzerland (labeled extra feine Milchscholade) when we have a US bought decent chocolate bar right next to it that you can gobble (and that is why I buy it). I had to pay $170 for a 2nd checked bag for my trip. Now I have to put the Swiss purchased chocolate away. It is the kind you savor in your mouth, one small square at a time!
