To the person who was on the treadmill next to me: no, it doesn’t count when you stand on the side treads while it ran, for well over half the time you wasted on the treadmill while you texted. That’s what the pause button is for. Or a chair.
And the person sitting on the pulldown press testing while the only other one was in use: When someone politely asks “are you finished?” Alert- Its a delicate euphemism for “either work out or move on”. Am not guessing “:can I work through?” would have gotten a different response, but its certainly not worth getting into a disagreement with people at the gym.

So when you tell me, “I don’t want to do it this way next time; I want to do it that way”, I’m supposed to nod and say OK. But when I say, “OK, I’ll do it that way, but I need this for it to work for me,” I get silence and then, “I’m not going to argue about this now”? Really? Your way or the highway?
