I am ready for it to get cooler. I love some mild weather in the fall, but mid-80s in early November with a 6.4 inch rain deficit for September & October is just a little too warm for my taste. Maybe Thursday will see the 20% chance of rain materialize at my house and bring cooler temps.
And to the fellow parishioner who is running for a state legislative seat against one of my colleagues, today’s mailing made me lose what respect I had for you. You insinuated that the LGBT community was less deserving based on our “insert city name here” values. I know this is not how our church teaches us to value others and I need to say that somewhere, even though my negative judgement is also against church teaching. I’m so disappointed in what I am learning about some of my fellow community members during this election season. Ready for it to be over next week in a big way!!!
I got a 1580 on the SAT. I don’t want to tell anyone I know in real life lest I appear immodest, but I’m really proud of myself. I’ve been working my tail off in this past year, and I’m glad it’s paying off.
Keeping fingers crossed that the VA refinance mortgage comes through. Fixed interest rate of 3.25% and closing costs will be covered by the VA and the broker. This will save us over $700 per month. Plus no payments until 2017.

Son finally decided he’s going to look for a job.
He had a first interview today, and he has been asked to come in for a second interview Friday.

Thank you universe for giving him this job. I’m so grateful that they won’t need to move. She is happy with her school, job, therapist and living and riding I’m glad she won’t need to start over.
Your wages are being garnished to pay off a 6 year old debt, the garnishment doesn’t even cover the interest so that you owe more every month, and your teenage daughter has a smart phone. What the heck are you thinking!!!

HE GOT THE JOB!!! First “professional” job he interviewed for, after really dragging his feet on the path to adulting, and he made it through two interviews and got the offer today.
I am assuming he will take it, BC it’s in his relativley small college town, where he can be with his GF, and it’s not a bad starting salary, he gets benefits, and he gets looked at for a raise in 90 days.
