Dear Husband, there are these things called cell phones. If you drive past the supposed location of the business and you can’t see it, you can do this amazing thing and CALL THEM and ask where they are instead of just going to the next place, where the manager and employees are yelling at each other, they can’t help us until 6 p.m., and aren’t even sure which tire they’re supposed to be fixing!
Hey pooch, PLEASE get better before bedtime tonight; I really need some sleep! I’ve been doing laundry for 12+ hours now and am afraid the meds the vet gave this afternoon aren’t quite cutting it. Do NOT want to give the emergency animal hospital boatloads of money tonight or tomorrow.
I suppose I should buy some Halloween candy today
Trying really hard to not be so annoyed at you. You are generally a good boss. It’s not that I mind being assigned one of your projects that has a very tight deadline, thats what I’m there for and goodness knows you work your butt off. But when I opened the file, I expected we would at least have most of the information i needed to do it. We have nothing? I had to quickly prepare and send a 2 page list of things I need to the client. It should have been sent months ago. This is a huge project and due in 2 weeks. It’s going to be a nightmare. I’m so irritated and, because its my boss that dropped the ball so badly, I can’t even say anything. My poor husband will have to pin his ears back and get ready for a lot of bitching.
Sexual harassment is sexual harassment. Your sexual orientation doesn’t earn you a pass.
While its better than the uber-annoying political rants of Facebook, your constant ads for your business are almost as annoying. We can’t do much about the automatic ads that pop up on facebook, but your posting posts about your services and such are annoying. Set up a business facebook page and post them there.
Ugh! Why do you always seem to like the boys who aren’t good for you.
He wants you when he doesn’t have you. And when he has you, he doesn’t want you. Why can’t you get away and stop this cycle.
There’s someone who does want you, but all you do is find fault with him.
(Maybe this will stop me from actually saying then out loud)
you are a great writer. I hope you don’t let your anxiety push you to postpone it once again. Each time you postpone it gives your anxiety more power.
Oh good grief. Are you really THAT desperate for attention from people living in the anonymity of the internet?
My cardiologist leaves her practice and I find out through sheer luck a week prior. Now you tell me it will take 30 days to get copies of my records, and it will cost 86 cents per page? And if I had a cardiac emergency, you can’t tell me how long it would take to get my info to the doc who would be treating me?
Off to find a different practice. And you’re supposed to be one of the best in DC. No wonder my doc left only a month after you got bought out by the hospital.
Oh please let her catch a break on this!
Boy I’m cranky and argumentative today.
Okay, small child who just came to my door - no need to be snarky when I didn’t recognize your costume…perhaps I had never seen a “Scary Monster Banana” before. Who knew that was even a thing??? 8-|
And to the mom with the jellyfish costume - you win costume of the night, especially since it was homemade. It was awesome and I will be borrowing that idea in the future… =D>
I miss my dog. On Halloween, 5 pm, he slowly drifted across the Rainbow Bridge while I was clinging to him. (Dear Mr., please don’t ask why I am crying!!!)
You profess to be an advocate , but really you are a bully.
From last night:
me - hears knocking at the front door
me - opens door
group of teenage kids - complete silence, no eye contact each take turns grabbing candy, then split
me - (in my head) uhh, alrighty then…
I just turned the same age as my mom was when she died of cancer many moons ago. Boy, she was young. I miss you Mom! I have so many questions I wish I could ask you!
I for one wish that Admissions Portals were better overall. Some are excellent, but far too many… even at America’s top colleges… are rather primitive and do not share enough needed info. Have you noticed the same?
What we have noticed specifically… and unfortunately… is that not all schools reflect which test scores, for example, they actually have. In my daughter’s case this cycle, only roughly 1/2 of the 13 colleges that my daughter has applied to confirm via her admissions portal which scores they have… and 3 of the ones that did had the wrong scores (not the highest). So, she had to contact 3 of the admissions offices and have them research things and correct it. One of them now acknowledges having the right scores finally, but they seem unable to fix her admissions portal to reflect it. And this is a top-10 university per the US News Rankings.
As for the others… she is simply in the dark. She knows that her file is complete, but she does not know if they have the right scores. Hopefully… once they actually start reviewing the file, if what she self-reported in the Common Application does not match what they have on file from the testing reporting services, they will inquire as to why there is a discrepancy. If not… they will likely though unfortunately go with them vs her.
It would certainly be helpful if ALL colleges and universities confirmed both the receipt of all scores and a confirmation of either what the score is that they have on file or for which test date it was. As most of these are top-30 schools, we actually expected a higher level of online efficiency. Some colleges, like Stanford and Yale for example, are truly excellent. Their online portals detail EVERYTHING (including the exact test dates they have) and make it very easy to know what the school has from each applicant. In our opinion, if all colleges simply modeled their admissions portal approach the same, they would be well served…
There… that is my gripe this year: the poor quality in general of Admissions Portals vs what they could be…
For admissions staffers: If you don’t want to read another essay about The Big Game or The Trip to Dig a Ditch in Central America, why not just say so in the directions for applicants?
To the police man talking on TV about a home invasion and robbery, do not follow up your statement that the intruders “were wearing masks” with “they might be hispanic”. :-??
