Say it here cause you can't say it directly- the get it off your chest thread (Part 1)

Please let the mattress arrive before the guest does.

What an amazing family that my father came from. It’s sad that he never appreciated it and ran away from people who genuinely loved him. The family reunion is a summer highlight. It was a great party today.

Dear DS’s girlfriend: you are rude.
Dear DS: you need to tell her that.
Dear DH: I know you don’t want to start a fight but it would be nice to know you’re on my side here.
Dear me: next time, say something in the moment rather than stewing about it and posting on CC.

Since the “Most annoying threads” thread was closed I find myself venting to the family cat. He is a very good listener.

Sidney Chambers, I didn’t like your choice at all last night and think you behaved like a cad. I was mad when I went to bed and mad when I woke up at 3 am dreaming about it. Guess I should be grateful that my life is in a good place so that I don’t have to worry about myself in the middle of the night and only about the season finale of a PBS show.

It looks like we could get a great discount on next year’s WDW vacation… so very excited!

Anyone who thinks the next generation isn’t worth much, I wish they could see the 15 young people who stayed at our house for a week. We told them they could stay for free as long as they followed our house rules. Not only did they follow the rules, they left $300 in an envelope for us and cleaned the house so it was in better shape than when they arrived. Two of the young women will be going to Lebanon within the year, so they will work with DS.

IMO, showing cleavage is not acceptable in any (typical) professional role. Not if you’re 25, not if you’re 55. I cannot imagine walking into my office - business casual or not - with cleavage showing.

Is it really necessary to put the calorie counts on the desserts in the showcase? I’d rather not know.

[points and laughs] AAAHHHHH HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

Trying to avoid reality but, this baseball trade deadline makes me realize that I am no longer rooting for a winner.

Google, please come through for my son, unlike Verizon. He really needs his phone to work, and I don’t want to be out a bunch of money to help him.

Insurance company I pay a very high premium and you’re saying this medicine is not covered. My life depends on it.

What is it with people who RSVP for more than the number invited? None of us knows your kids or their SOs, but you expect us to pay for their dinner?

  1. I talked to you multiple times, starting in February, with the explicit goal of not having this problem in August. And now I have this problem in August.

  2. A fitness class labeled “beginner level, low intensity” should be aimed at beginners looking for low intensity. It should not be more strenuous and led with fewer explanations and less modeling than the “intermediate level, moderate intensity” class with the same focus.

Too funny. I mentioned earlier today that our 19 guests graciously left us $300 when they left. Tonight, our dog got attacked by a porcupine and it cost $272.20 to have the quills removed! So we’re still $27.80 ahead for the day.

You really thought I would believe that lie? Thank you for finally providing evidence to file an investigation of elder abuse! I hope you are arrested soon.

So let me see if I understand this. All of you are on our board and make decisions regarding our staff, our members, our programming, our budget … yet none of you can read a financial statement and none of you understand how the major fundraising effort works.

Sounds about right.

Go and, try and say it… it’s not that hard… “T h a n k Y o u”

Oh my dear state in which I live. So the regs are to burdensome to follow for your projects, be ‘we the people’ are required to do so. Ya can’t make up this stuff. It would be funny if it weren’t to beyond foul.
