Oh, I didnt notice the bottom of your post-- you tagged not seven but TEN people to put your junk on their page too. :-&
And how silly of me to forget that you would “like” your own post. Actually you “loved” your own post with the red heart emoji. Get over yourself.
Damn. I am going to miss these 5. They’ve been best friends since they met the first day of high school. I will miss them walking in the house like they live here, gushing over homemade chocolate chip cookies, and chatting away while some place X BOX. What a special bunch. It’s hard to think that in a month’s time they will be heading off to school in different directions - from Boston down to Columbia. It’s going to be rough but I know they will all do great things and I expect them all back at Christmas
Really?? A wink??? Is that protocol for these events?
The bragging is bad enough–was it really necessary to enumerate all the cords, sashes, bells, and whistles heaped on your kid at graduation?–but the lying takes it into new territory. If you really need to create such an extreme picture of perfection, I don’t think we have much left to share.
What an exciting and terrifying time to send your child to study abroad in Russia
My D in college called me twice this week! Just to chat! Pass me the smelling salts!
Please, I beg of you: STOP COMPLAINING!!!
Reclining your chair for 11+ hours of a daytime flight is beyond rude. Especially since my friends should have been in those seats if the airline hadn’t messed up their reservation details. They got a sort of upgrade, we got rude neighbors.
OMG … just OMG
The silence is deafening. Sadly, I am not a bit surprised.
Wow—because she was coughing for a month, I take her to urgent care. She’s seen by an urgent care family medicine doc who takes an X-ray and diagnoses her with pneumonia and gives her abx and now all the peanut gallery is saying abx taken too often is BAD and no one else heard her cough and her cough was improving.
She was coughing a lot on Saturday when we were with her and very often today, tho she tried to stifle it.
Unbelievable the lack of support from all of you. Wow, just wow! I guess none of you are willing to take her to the internist to follow up when we are out of town. Oh well, she’s your relative too! Very disappointing!
Dang, this humidity! 92% and no, it’s not raining currently. Ugh. #:-S
Fascinating, you guys are now 2nd guessing the doctor because X-rays can be wrong and she didn’t SEEM that sick. Okay then—no need for anyone to see any doctors then.
You don’t like the internist, now you don’t like the urgent care doc (whom you’ve never met), and off-hand dismiss his findings and diagnosis because YOU think she doesn’t SEEM like she has pneumonia. Wow!
Ok then, maybe no need for doctors—just go to ERs when you SEEM REALLY sick and otherwise we will just ignore any symptoms anyone notices.
I can’t believe you guys really believe this is the best way to care for relatives who are 88 and 93. Heading off infections can help them preserve their cognitive function. You’re really worried about too many X-rays at their ages? Too many antibiotics for a relative who has rarely ever taken any? Really? I’m glad I’m leaving town—I really don’t want to talk with any of you for a while. I REALLY don’t.
I can’t believe we put down a deposit on a second Australian shepherd today. My avatar will have a buddy, but I’m wondering if we’re crazy!
Liberal Arts. Because business majors need to learn something about International Relations, too.
Power corrupts. I’ve seen it. Friends become managers and then stab you in the back. Friends that were ethical throw it all out the window when they advance and become either self-serving (steal your work) or steer your formal, documented responsibilities to drinking buddies in order to advance their careers. People say that life isn’t fair. Yeah, boy, I get it now.
Yesterday was not a good day.
I had four crowns installed in my mouth in February 2017. One of them has developed a crack and needs to be replaced, I just learned yesterday. The dentist won’t charge me, but it’s still a PITA and an uncomfortable bother.
Out of the blue, yesterday a huge piece of trim fell from the house and onto the roof, knocking a gutter and drainpipe out of alignment. My contractor, who replaced that trim about four years ago, is here today to repair it – also for no charge.
We realized we didn’t have hot water. I went down to the furnace and pressed the “reset” button to start it up, to heat the water. All of a sudden smoke and soot started belching out of the furnace. I shut it off with the emergency button. The guy is due here today between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Unfortunately that repair or replacement won’t be on the house.

Dear Surgeon who removed her wisdom teeth - I appreciate vacations as much as the next person, but leaving town for three weeks and the treatment plan for dry socket is to have us drive an hour away to have your nurse see us is not a viable option.
Along the same lines ^. Dear Oral Surgeon, when I told you that there was a family history of issues with versed, I meant it. Thanks to you, my daughter spent the first 90 post post-op vomiting and I could barely get her home.
