Say it here cause you can't say it directly- the get it off your chest thread (Part 1)

Dear Son of Mine…it appears Florence will veer south of you. Hopefully. And grateful if it happens… But won’t quit worrying until the sun shines over North Carolina. Be safe,

Two conflicting treatment plans from two dental specialists. Both are scary for a young person with TMJ. She can’t catch a break.

I love traveling but I absolutely love coming home to my bathtub.

Giving us homework questions that aren’t even in the book is bad enough, then you decide to bail out the class to a professor who’s notorious for being lazy and the worst teacher in the department? Wow. I hate you even more now.

Argh! What are the odds of not one but both of our printers dying two days before our major annual event! Oh well, I did see printers at Costco so we will be there when they open tomorrow! Talk about bad timing!

Tech week of the first musical I’ve assistant directed and it’s been a disaster. Supposed to add lights and sound on Sunday. Didn’t happen due to people dropping the ball and young lighting person being sick. New sound system that was supposed to be installed didn’t get installed on time. 50 plus people in a cast because the executive director of the community theatre made us put everyone who auditioned in the production even if it meant most of them are only in the first and last musical number. Ages 4-80. We open Friday night and I thank the good Lord that we have some main characters who can carry this show out no matter what! Just venting here makes me feel much better.

Praying for all of those in the eye of the Hurricane, my problems are nothing compared to them. Thanks for listening CC.

MODERATOR’S NOTE:

Like I did for this one. Sorry.

Even though I wanted off the project, I wanted it to be my decision. It’s like your boyfriend dumping you before you could dump him. Still sucks.

Silence is golden.

I love booking airline tickets to Florida in January! We’ll stay with DH’s sister for a few days and then go on a Caribbean cruise.

Tonight’s local news featured a story on how a local church is going to be accepting ziplock bags filled with personal care items & snacks that will be driven to areas affected by the hurricane. It sounds like a nice idea, but I wish they would realize that money donated to legitimate relief organizations that will, as much as possible, purchase from local businesses can help so much more.

I have to remind myself daily to keep things in check…my problems might be challenging , but are not as devastating as others that I know. My little town has been rocked with tragedies involving people I know personally and their losses involve things and people that cannot be replaced

YES, I think he’s found the one!
Long version… my son’s journey to full-time professional employment has been longer and more difficult than expected. He starts a job Monday that’s a professional job, should be interesting, is a very reasonable commute, should provide development opportunities, etc.
I am so hoping it works out well for him. He needs a “win” about now.

I think it’s wonderful that you’re pregnant with my first grandchild but I really wish you’d stop referring to it as “the parasite.” :open_mouth:

I didn’t like high school then. Turns out I like it even less now. Nothing like a trip back in time to make me grateful for how far I have come. If I don’t see you folks for another 40 years, that is fine with me.

Dear deli guy,
your response was unkind and unnecessary especially after a nice conversation.
Learn boundaries.

Every time that I feel like I’ve seen the pinnacle of entitlement, it’s like the universe steps in and says " Here , hold my beer" . Seriously?! I can’t even!

If it’s too much for you to write the “suggested” essay maybe you should look at a less academically demanding school.

OMG - He even bought new clothes for the new job!
This may be the start of true adulting.

You are such a know-it-all! LOL.
