I was SO happy that butt crack chick’s fianc

Dang! I maybe they’ll play the repeats this Friday - I’m so glad for the tip - that was our turn the brain off on Friday evening show

How about Randy’s travelling road show! Randy to the Rescue?
I watched…not bad, but what was with the gal with such body image issues that she broke down? All I could think of was what a tragedy it was for her to be a size 4! Get a grip woman! This gal needed serious therapy! Even Randy seemed overwhelmed by her!

I hope after (maybe before!) the wedding she get some mental health time! I saw possible anorexia in her future! But her dress was beautiful!

When is this show on PackMom?

Randy to the Rescue is on TLC Friday nights at 10. It’s an hour! I thought the show was good, but I had to fast-forward through the footage devoted to the obnoxious young woman, mentioned by ilovedcollege, who was very thin but kept saying that she looked fat. Randy finally told her she had a body-image issue. Good for you, Randy! Overall I enjoyed the show.

Before that were two new episodes of Say Yes to the Dress, the NYC Kleinfeld version. Nicole looks great, and Sarah is very pregnant! It was nice to see the cast again. One or two new consultants too. During the show’s hiatus I did watch the Atlanta version, though, and it grew on me. But I’m glad to have the original back!

I was at my parents’ house (they have cable; we don’t) so I got to see the new shows. I liked Randy’s new show and am so glad that Randy called it like it is with the woman with body image issues. Even before Randy said anything, my 17yo ds said she really does need help.

Also watched the marathon of old shows earlier in the day with my boys. They hate that I’m so addicted but watch, too. And then later my brother joined us. He kept asking why I keep watching this show, as he settled in! ;)

^^ Hi my DS15 does the same thing - funny!

Atlanta did grow on me - but I never loved it like NY version - I couldn’t do the bridesmaids, though. Also the Atlanta version didn’t have the compelling consultants - it was just Laurie and Monty and their minions - no real story line or connection with the underlings or alterations people. (I feel crazy even typing that!!)

Yes, Sarah was REALLY pregnant!!! I still wonder what ever happened to Keisha…

I miss Keasha too. She always had something very funny to say!

I never did take to the Atlanta version - the personalities of the salespeople were just not as appealing. I did catch a couple of the bridesmaids show, lord some of those bridesmaids are witches! Made me love my daughter’s 2 bridesmaids even more than I already did. (we played a joke on them and sent them a picture of the most hideous dress we had ever seen. One bridesmaid sent back a very gracious response “it’s Cat’s wedding and I’ll wear whatever she wants”. the other sent back a slightly different response “*** is that?” (but she didn’t abbreviate).

Having just been through the wedding dress buying experience with my daughter, I now realize the value of a good sales assistant can’t be understated. The first store we tried was just awful. Really sweet girl, but didn’t bring a single dress that fit right. The second store we had the most amazing girl helping us. It was overwhelming when we walked in - there must have been thousands of dresses. She chatted to my daughter for a short while, brought her one dress to try so she could figure out the size, then brought more dresses out, the first of which was just perfect for my daughter’s taste, personality and beach wedding. She had the whole tears in her eyes and everything - tried on a couple of others, but that was THE dress. She was helping another girl who’s taste was polar opposite to my daughter’s (princess ball gown and lots of bling as opposed to my D’s flowy and no bling whatsoever preference), and every dress she brought her was perfect for her as well. It really made the whole experience a really fun experience.

Just saw the sad coming attraction where Lori announces that she has breast cancer.

Lori and Kesha were my FAVs, so sad to hear the bad news. My s/o is already asleep, so I can watch what I want .

Has anyone seen the show about the discount store Vows, in Boston? I thought of mentioning that to my son, but I suspect the MOB would want to be around for any real, shopping.

Wow, sorry to hear about Lori. I haven’t watched that episode yet. And I hope Keasha is doing well. The show about Vows, I Found the Gown, is really good. For the most part, the brides seem more down to earth, although the bargain hunting can get a little obnoxious. The two owners of the store seem nice. I hope more episodes are coming.

I really liked I Found the Gown and wondered why it disappeared. Hope there will be more shows coming up. I watch SYTTD every Friday after DH has dozed off in the recliner. So sorry about Lori. This week’s show will be a sad one.

I watch these shows, too, when I’m home on a Fri. evening. The main thing I don’t like about the Atlanta show is that the bride has only tried on one dress or maybe two, and the consultants are already impatient that they haven’t selected a dress!

The bridesmaids shows are Obnoxious. I cannot believe that stuff really happens.

I, too, had breast cancer a few years back. The technology today is amazing. Hope she’ll be fine.

Yes, I enjoyed the Vows series too. I would much rather watch a show where people find good bargains than watch the over-the-top money being spent on a gown!
