SCA: minor in screenwriting?

[USC Cinema - Admissions Course Offerings for the Non-Major Undergraduate Minors](http://cinema.usc.edu/admissions/course-offerings-for-the-non-major/undergraduate-minors.htm)

The site lists screenwriting as a possible minor for undergraduates, but it doesn’t really say anything else about it… do you have to apply and send in various writing samples like the screenwriting major program? Or can you just do it if you get into the school?

From the website:

Writing for Screen & Television Minor Requirements
A student attending USC may apply to Minor in Screenwriting if he or she has been admitted to regular standing to the university, has declared a major and is not under any type of departmental, academic or university probation. Students may apply after they have taken and completed CTWR 412 Introduction to Screenwriting with a grade of B (3.0) or better. A signature of support from the 412 professor is required. Students must contact the School of Cinematic Arts Division of Writing for Screen & Television at 213.740.3303 for an application and admission procedures. Students are admitted to the Minor in Screenwriting year round.

I had the same question about a minor in creative writing. Is it lumped under the general “English” category?

Nonsenescent:
I just checked the website. There is no “creative writing” minor per say (yes, lumped with general English), but you can incorporate creative writing classes in your minor. it says “An English minor may enroll in no more than two creative writing workshops” with the other five courses being more literature and reading based.
