So, is anyone else sad to say goodbye to Olivia, et all? I sure am. I’ve really enjoyed the majority of this series. I think the only storyline I don’t like is Mellie as President. Too far fetched even for my imagination.
Can’t wait to see how it all plays out. What’s odd about this show is I’ve come to really like Huck, etc. and then I remember the horrible person he is…remember when he shot all those jurors?
Please offer Spoiler Alerts for those like me who are binge watching early seasons!
Yes, please no spoilers or give warning of spoilers and then leave space between text before you post.
I’m watching but am a couple episodes behind. I actually think this year has really been lost and subpar. Got away from the got-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat that previous years had. I’m worried about who if any main characters will meet their demise before or at the final episode.
I didn’t watch any of Scandal until summer of 2016 when D2 and I watched the first 5 seasons or whatever.
Don’t read if you aren’t up to speed - how’s that for a spoiler alert?
I nearly gave up on Scandal a few seasons back due to the violence in some episodes, but I began to DVR it so I could watch while ironing on weekends and have stayed loyal. Now I can’t wait to see how they tie the whole thing up in the next 3 episodes. It seems like there are lots of loose ends to tie up and not much time to do it, but I’m glad to see the swing back to the light for Olivia. I’m sure that Cyrus must be defeated, but how things turn out for Jake and Mellie are big questions for me. I also feel like Huck will save the day in some way. I think of Huck as broken, more than evil, but he, like the others, have certainly done some BAD stuff!
My apologies about the spoilers.
@conmama, I changed the title of the thread for you.
Thank you @MaineLonghorn . I’m usually good at that, but just wasn’t thinking this morning.
Ok, see ya then! - can’t come on a spoiler thread!!!
So, what does everyone think will happen to Olivia? Will she end up with Fitz or Jake? I think she will get killed, or we will be left wondering if she was killed. She’ll do some White Hat stunt, and she will be redeemed by her “family”. Or she will fake her death .
Oh wow! That was great! One more left!!!
I loved it early on, but it got too violent and gross for me. I decided to come back for the final few episodes and am enjoying the wind down.
I watched the first few seasons, then took a break, then came back. Last night, I kept imagining the end being the Scandal group sitting in a jail cell, like the Seinfeld group! Curious to see if there is a big twist ending or just a sad farewell.
I heard a rumor that someone dies. If so, I wonder who.
I have never trusted Jake since he killed James. That was unforgivable to me. Now he seems to be living down to his potential.
I never really bought the Mellie as President thing, but in now she is rising to her potential.
I want it to end with Mellie as president, Susan as vice president, Cyrus in prison or dead–Jake will likely kill him before it’s over, possibly in a murder suicide-- and Olivia and Fitz together for good, doing good works through the foundation.
Well, @Consolation …you got part of your wish! Have you watched the finale yet? I liked it in some parts, let down in a few.
I couldn’t stay awake last night, so watched it this morning while I had breakfast. Like @conmama, I was partly pleased and partly disappointed. The hardest area for me to suspend belief is watching these high level officials move around DC by themselves. In real life, the Attorney General and WH Chief of Staff would have security and be driven around. I guess they couldn’t get into the trouble they do if they had others in the way;)
I was probably more disappointed than pleased with the finale. After it was over, I wondered if I had missed something (It’s not unusual for me to fall asleep watchng TV), but I hadn’t. The unbelievable resolution left me wondering how it happened.
Me, too @shellfell . I thought I had missed something, also. That’s why I had to google articles about the finale. They just sped through everything to just wrap it up, whether it made any sense or not. I found it frustrating. The only good moments for me was the wedding with Quinn’s vows…haha and the death. That was so unexpected, so I liked that. It really needed to be 2 hours to flesh out the story. I wonder why they didn’t do that, or at least 90 minutes. Oh, I did like the portrait at the end, but I don’t like unanswered finales.
I did the same thing as you - on Fri, I googled articles on the finale which at least reassured me that I hadn’t missed something.
If you can believe it, we FINALLY just finished the finale tonight!
And somehow I managed to avoid any spoilers on social media!
I agree that an hour was not enough to wrap things up. The second to the last episode was the best. The finale…decent but …
I was sad to see David go down…Cyrus is the most disgusting jerk.
I too thought the Quinn/Charlie wedding was cute.
And loved some of the music in the finale.
I was SOOO worried about Huck being the one to go down in the finale. Could never help but be protective of him.
Here’s the WORST. Our DVR cut off just as Fitz was greeting Olivia in front of the Capitol. What did he say to her? What did he do? Were they going to Vermont???
I also secretly wanted to see the portrait the little girls were staring at at the gallery . Assuming it was Mellie though I admit to wanting it to be Michelle Obama even though that would be pointless in the show!!! haha
Also enjoyed Rowan’s final speech before the panel of white men. He is SO engaging when he speaks! Also, I expected there to be some final secret revealed about the dinosaur and why it was so precious to him. Did I miss something???
