Hello,
I live in India (but I’m an American citizen). I’m applying for financial aid to different colleges. As a part of the financial aid application process, I have to submit documents to the IDOC service of the College Board.
It says that I’m required to mail them all the way to the US (to the College Board). Is there any way for me to scan them and send them instead? It will pretty expensive to mail them all the way from India.
Thanks for the help!

Please follow the college’s directions. If they want you to mail them to IDOC, then do that. Some schools are very specific that if you do not follow their process, they will not process your paperwork (meaning that you will get no aid).

It costs me $6 to send even in the US.
You do need to follow their instruction.

Even if you wanted to scan the documents, IDOC has no email address. The only option is postal mail.

Contact your individual colleges directly and explain that the expense of mailing to IDOC is a problem. Ask if you can send the documents directly to the college instead. They might say yes or they might say no . . . but it doesn’t cost anything to ask!

Agree, call or e-mail the college and ask if you can send it directly - especially if you only have one college that hires out the IDOC service.
