I am. The graders can be real hard-asses and I’m sure they’ll rape the essay grade for those who were a decade off. Any other thoughts?

yeah, I wondered about that. It was very tempting to talk abotu vietnam/new left. Actually, the Kent State riots occurred in 1954 so that would have worked but most of the New left movement stuff wouldn’t. My friend wrote about Kent State but I thought it was in 1960s. I wrote about McCarthysim as a new intellectual movement causing fear and therefore a break from the status quo. I think that kinda works. At least the time period was right.

Has anyone else wrote something off topic like this and if so, how did it affect your grade?

What are you talking about?

Kent State was like 1970.

Thats what I thought, but my friend said that he remembered that one of the mc questions said it was 1954.

Kent state was May 4th 1970

really? wow, my friend is screwed. I hope the rest of his essay can overcome the mistake.

All the essays were meant to trick you. The college board blows.
