I’m not really scared of docs but i’m freaked now….maybe 6 days ago, I noticed a bit of redness in my stools…honestly, I thought, “well, i’ve been eating a lot of beets” and didn’t think anything more of it….but now i noticed it again this morning…almost a maroon color….no discomfort….no health issues (ever)…ugh, yes I know I need to call the doc…but i don’t want to…i don’t have time for this….well, please push me to go. I knew when I turned 50 (last year), I should have had things checked out….)

If you just turned 50, it’s time to get your colonoscopy anyway (and it’s not so bad–there’s a long thread about this here someplace). Call the doctor today.

several benign causes come to mind but go see a doctor! If it IS something serious go NOW before it gets more serious. And Hunt is right–time for a check-up anyway–call the Doc.

What the other posters said. Get off the internet trying to self-diagnose and make an appointment now. If you are uncomfortable to bring this issue up with your family doctor, it could mean that you need to look for a new one.

My mother died from colon cancer. I had my first colonoscopy at age 37 and I’ve had a few since then. No problems except I don’t like fasting. Make an appointment and get it over with and you’ll see its not a big deal and you can really enjoy a good lunch afterwards. I find it easier to do the fast in warmer weather and you may too so get moving!

GreyGarvin, in your other posts you indicate you’re in HS. Unless you’re really not very bright, I doubt you’re 50 years old.

Please explain.

Lol. I was wondering about the legitimacy of the post but could not easily see the OP’s posing history on my mobile phone. Someday, our OP will be 50. And karma forbid the issue might come up…

Could be a parent using the account. No posts since January.

Waiting for the OP to answer before responding.

I am closing this thread since OP is either trolling or sharing an account.
