Scary books & movies

I love Halloween! It’s one of my favorite, if not my favorite holiday! So, October is Halloween month for me! Everything from pumpkins to decorations to a history and mystery tour at a historic cemetery, and of course scary books and movies!

This year, I have read The Turn of the Screw (very creepy reading late at night); I am currently reading Halloween Party by Agatha Christie, and I have a book that just recently came out but seems to be getting great reviews - The Gods of Nowhere: A Novel of Halloween - on deck. If I have time, I would also like to read The Haunting of Hill House.

I am a big X-Files fan, so I decided to re-watch the series. This wasn’t planned for Halloween but worked out perfectly for this time of year! Also read Ruins, an X-Files novel and may read Antibodies.

For movies, some of the most memorable ones for me have been The Skeleton Key, the original Paranormal Activity, and Don’t Look Now is also very spooky!

Forgot to add, I loved Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury, and October Country was good, although sometimes more sad than scary…
