I am really excited to be a part of Dartmouth’s class of 2009 though I have heard one thing that scares me. During my tour back in August the tour guide told me the week before Winter Carnival it is a secret tradition for seniors to trick freshmen to eat food with laxative in it. Apparently their desired goal is to make the Freshmen poop. It is also apparently very frowned upon to discuss this with non-Dartmouth students. Has anyone else heard anything about this?

hahahahaha

Lol, no, never, but it could be an urban legend kind of thing. Nevertheless, I’m going to glance over my back from time to time during that week…

I just have a question, I’m sorry, but if they put laxative in freshmen’s food, is their any other possible desired goal than to make them poop? Anyway, I am a current freshman at D, and I can tell you that no, this did not happen and I have never heard of this story thus I wouldn’t say it’s frowned upon to discuss this with non-Dartmen/women.

You haven’t been around the week before winter carnival yet. I just read some stories about kids who got it bad last year, watch out.

Okay, what exactly is your point here?

If it bothers you so much, order in or something the week before Winter Carnival.

Lol, Raspberry.
Good call.

Hey, look at it this way: Winter Carnival could now be marketed as a way to shave off the pounds that creeped on over freshman fall term!

the best part is that he calls it a “scary” rumor. i was expecting to see something about a ghost who cuts people up and makes them eat themselves, but alas, 'twas just poop.

Don’t worry guys. We are not that bad up here…lol

Cr*p, that’s funny…
