what is the date of scav this year? is it always the same weekend (like the 2nd weekend in May) or how is the date determined?

I believe it is always the Thur-Sun of Mother’s Day weekend.

Judgment Day = Mother’s Day. Every year. So, yeah, the four days ending with the second Sunday in May. (Well, 3-1/2 days, because they get done with everything so quickly on Sunday. ;))

thanks guys :)

Scaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaav!

But don’t expect your Scavver to call on Mother’s Day. After Judgment, they all crash because they haven’t slept in three and a half days!

That’s ridiculous! SCAVVIES NEVER SLEEP!

Last year I told my mom happy mother’s day on Wednesday, before list release at midnight, haha.

well my future scavver/scavvie (who isn’t adept at information seeking and turns to her mom to get vital info like this) decided she wasn’t interested in spring SA because of scav. In previous years there had been a conflict with her sport that weekend, but that appears not to be the case this year.

Yes, S1 also decided a study abroad program he wanted to attend would not happen in spring because it conflicted with Scav. Priorities, you know!

KMad, you are quite right. There is the pre-Scav gathering of materials, setting up work areas, arranging for food, caffeinated soap, etc. Jackief, don’t be surprised if your D wants to ■■■■■ for things to take back after Spring Break. S1 went back for Spring Quarter with a duffel bag full of PVC pipes, batteries, duct tape, feathers and Marti Gras beads. I can only imagine what the baggage claims folks thought.
