SCEA clashes with my school year!

so, i really want to apply SCEA for the obvious benefits. however, my school year (I’m Australian) technically ends when i get my results for senior year on Dec 15. I think that my school results will be a positive part of my application, including subject awards from my graduating class (I already know I’ve got them, however it is not official yet.) In Melbourne, we don’t get official grades for senior year, we get a percentage at the end of the year that ranks us against the whole state. so senior year grades are a little hard to decipher without that.
my question is this: should I go ahead with SCEA, or apply with the added benefit of having my final school results? will Yale understand the strange ranking system we have without my end of year results? I’m so confused!

oh, and i forgot to mention that i totally adore yale and it has been my first choice for ten years, and i would give anything to go there. so i want to apply SCEA to prove that. although they’ll hardly be able to distinguish me from the lurking, undercover Harvard and Princeton hopefuls…hehe

Why don’t you contact the Yale admissions rep overseeing Australia? I’m sure you’re not the first Aussie to consider EA at Yale. I’m sure he/she can give you good options

i have the same problem i’m canadian
i decided not to take the chance and just go with RD

thanks guys. it’s just that the menial accept rate of RD is so discouraging.

that’s a really good idea- i will definitely contact the oceania rep.
