SCEA - Class of 2011

wasn’t that part of Form 1? They ask you to print something out, and sign it with your counselor and your parent.

so is the application due midnight on nov 1st or oct 31?

I submitted form one online…and i couldnt find it…ahhh so when i do find it do I just send it to them in another one of those brown envelopes and label it scea agreement?

Another question…does anybody feel like their short essays are vague? Are they supposed to be? if someone wants to read mine and tell me if they are right that would be awesome…people at my school dont apply to stanford so i don’t know who to ask

spartan–if you log onto the online app thing and click on either Form 1 or Form 2 (the links…it doesn’t matter which one) and click on “Downloadable Forms” on the left side and the SCEA agreement will be one of the links. print that out, get it signed and then fax or mail it in by nov. 1st!

about the short essays–mine are pretty specific I guess. if you need help, you can pm me yours if you want, I already read your long essay haha :P

Spartan: Yea, just click downloadable forms, and the SCEA agreement is there. Just need your sig, your parents’, and your counselor’s.

itida: Did you say 80, like EIGHTY people applied and four got in? Omg…

And most of my essays are really specific, like, I’m worried they might be too specific. But whatever… I’m gonna hit the submit button sometime today when I find the nerve…

yeah julyinoh…and that was just people who applied early. who knows how many applied regular. I go to a public school that is only about 30 mins away from stanford and is a top 50 public school by that list newsweek or something makes so yeahh =/ it sucks

but I think most of the people who apply from my school do so even though they aren’t really as “competitive” as other applicants. they just do since stanford’s so close and their parents make them etc.

Oh. We had 1/1 (early) go last year, and she applied because she was a double legacy (she was also very competitive). But up here, nearly nobody applies to Stanford. I’m one of two this year… my best friend is applying too…

Where does National Honors Society go on this, on the EC list?

Depends on whether NHS is more of a club at school (you have service projects or something) or an award (mainly loafing around celebrating your academic excellence).

Ack I’m so nervous for finishing my application. I really want to go to Stanford ><!

lol, don’t we all

IT IS DONE!!! YESS!!!

Alright… good luck to the rest of you =) Now begins the long wait…

for me I don’t think it’s going to be a long wait…since I’ll be bogged down with work from school and finals as well as other apps (just in case the unthinkable happens, sighh) but the week before dec. 15th will be super super long!

hey i just sent out the CSS profile. I registered oct 1st, but my parents took a long time getting around to it. it says it will come Nov 4th. Will this be too late or not?

and does anyone know whether the application is due oct 31 or nov 1st at night?

this is just a random thought but have any of you memorized your stanford pin #s for the online application?

haha I haven’t, I always have to look it up

i always go back to my email and copy past the pin, i just know that it starts with a 3
