SCEA - Class of 2011

has anyone actually gotten the letter in the mail Stanford said it’d send once it has received all your materials?

Takeme2cali: I believe Stanford’s only doing that via e-mail, but I could be wrong.

Yes I am pyleela! I’m in Unit 3 to be exact. How about you?

Unit 1

<3

It’s the hardest unit, unfortunately, which I didn’t know before I chose it as my first choice… eye roll

That’s so cool though!!!

BearsandBruins: Eh. Don’t worry about it. I get kinda touchy and debate-y whenever India comes up. There’s the good and the bad and I love it all. And I encourage other people to <3 it too!!! :D

Yeah, no problem, India’s a cool place. Its fun to see a country thats so exotic after spending all my time in the bay area.

julyinoh: If he’s buying the console there, it would be cheaper b/c of the exchange rate and everything. But if he’s importing it, it would still be cheaper, b/c the PS3’s cheaper in Japan I think, they don’t want to loose out on their most lucrative market. So as a result they’re willing to take more of a hit on the hardware production, because they know they’ll make a killing on the software. I dunno if its cheaper importing if it wasn’t cheaper to begin with though.

Ahh… the PS3. I was amazed when my friends went camping out in front of Best Buy TWO nights before it actually came out. Absurd. And then they’re gonna make a killing on profits from ebay. haha.

Glad to see we’re all still alive and kicking.

If I buy the PS3 from Hong Kong, everything will be in Japanese - which is the downside. The upside is the games in Hong Kong are generally cheaper and work with the Japanese PS3, not the Americans, though. I am still deciding…

Anyways, I hope you guys are doing well now. I’ve already done all my applications. What a relieve! But then there are, of course, the scholarships. Yay for winter break lol. Well, I will see you all soon. I am off to HK now ^^.

Have fun choboking, and boy am I jealous :P

Just want to check, whose SAT score has not been received yet?

Weird, coz I already sent Stanford my SAT score via CollegeBoard but the office hasn’t received it yet.

edwinksl - how did you find out? Was it in your e-mail from Stanford, or did you call and ask if they had recieved your scores yet?

MorsVenit: it tells you when you request your app info through the axess website.

The admissions office sent me an email that has a list of missing documents. The list includes the SAT score lol.

when did your request your sat? was it on the orginal registration? because all of the colleges you reported on the registration form was rushed, if you requested your score seperately, then it might not be rushed

I took SAT 1 on June 3 and SAT 2 on October 14. I included Stanford as a recipient for both SATs.

That’s funny, I took SAT 2s in October, sent my scores for the first time, and Stanford reports having received them.

(Happy to say that all my forms have been processed! )

Haha, yea, that’s weird. Am I the only one to face the same problem with the SAT scores?

Yay! They’ve received all of my stoof now! :D

Hmm, if they get all our stuff earlier, we’ll probably get our decision way earlier, right? I have a feeling that my decision letter is going to catch me way off guard one of these days.
