<p>I am thankful that decisions will be here soon and that my best friend decided to surprise me by coming home for Thanksgiving.</p>

<p>and it kind of puts me in a stressful frenzie that my next app is due Dec. 1… aka a week! yikes!</p>
<p>I have to finish UC apps by Nov. 30. I’m planning on semi-recycling my Stanford essays for my personal statements…I’m actually supposed to be working on them right now… aaah…the tortuous wait until Dec. 15th.</p>
<p>Are any of you recycling Stanford essays for you UCs? That’s what I’m working on right now… <strong>sigh</strong></p>
<p>Recycled short essay #1 for UC personatement 1, short essay #2 for UC personatement 2, and wrote an entirely new essay for 3.</p>
<p>And if you thought it was impossible to cut your essays down to 1600 chars, it’s even more impossible to cut them down to 200 words. ):</p>
<p>I know… I’m totally not prepared to cut my essays… they all started at around 450 words, cut them down to about 300 for Stanford, and now I have to cut them even more… that leaves me a HALF of the original essay dude…</p>
<p>Yep. happened here, too. trying hard to reduce, reuse, and recycle for uMich. it’s a pain.</p>
<p>UC apps = done!!! Yay! It was surprising how much my Stanford essays actually did fit the topics…and how I was able to cut a whole paragraph from my long essay…<strong>shrug</strong> What’s done is done!

I just finished the UCs earlier this week. It was a pain on the wallet sending all of em in though… sheesh.</p>
<p>Yea I’m gonna start the UC essays today… I have all of my Nov30/Dec1 apps filled out… just need to do the essays.</p>
<p>Yeah I’m sure I recycled a lot for UMich as well, devaaki. I really don’t remember everything at this point.
Better get UMich in soon for scholarship consideration, everyone~</p>
