<p>yeah, the MIT thing freaked me out. 3 of my close friends applied and got deferred, two of whom had 700+ hours of research experience working with self assembly of molecules…really cool stuff…one had a recommendation from their research advisor who was an mit graduate…its crazy. i don’t know who DID get admitted.</p>
<p>I’ve talked to a lot of people who got in. You can’t pinpoint why they did (or why they didn’t) get in. All I know is they’re nice people, and a lot of fun to talk to.</p>
<p>if u look on the MIT thread of EA almost anyone with a 2400 or close is rejected…aaahhhh what is happening to school systems now? Did they change something?</p>

I guess the only thing he was lacking is in-school ECs cause he doesn’t participate in any school sponsored activities.</p>

<p>crap, i realized how stupid i am. on you guys essay, did you paragraph everything? i didn’t use word, and it didn’t allow me to indent, so instead of indenting, i just hit enter, so the organization of my essay is probably crap. sigh. 5pm = rejection.</p>

<p>Coz I heard from an acceptee last year who said it came on Thursday afternoon via email, a day earlier.</p>
