SCEA To Yale for Stem Major?

I plan to major in Molecular Biology / Biochemistry and going the pre-med track. I have been extensively involved in biology research for the past two years and have competitive stats. I have won some small regional awards and may be published as the author of a journal article but nothing large like ISEF qual (and most competitions in my senior year are after the college deadline). I want to apply SCEA to Yale, however, I am not sure whether it is a good choice strategically. Yale is my dream school, however, it’s early application program acceptance rate is declining and is lower than all other ivies and is non-binding? Would it be better to apply somewhere else? Does applying as a STEM major SCEA at Yale help my chances?
