The classes that I have set in stone are
AP Calc AB
AP World
Hon. Span 3
Most likely to take
APES
Physics 2
Have written on my paper
AP Lang
I would be interested in whether AP Lang is going to be too much to maintain and A in every quarter and whether I should do APES independent study. Physics 2 I am doing mostly because my IB friends are and I will miss them otherwise, but I feel that I will be able to handle it.
After a bit of moral support, I will be also doing APES and most likely English. Probably will continue to update.
We all took Physics 1 together. I did well in class but not on the exam
The thing with English is that I am more concerned about having an “A”, I think.
With an A in honors I would have a 4.8. With an A in AP I would have a 5.6 and with a A in IB I would have a 6.0 although I am not really considering IB at the moment; I’m not sure how I feel about being locked in the class for 2 years as per my school credit policies. (IB is new next year and I’m not sure if that is a good thing for us or not)
Tips are appreciated.
What it takes to get an ‘A’ is wholly dependent on the English teacher who will be teaching the class since the grading is generally fairly subjective. Your upper years would be your best guide. Without any specific info however, I would side with the more rigorous schedule so AP
Or instead of world I could do Pysch.
They are saying that only the best kids made it out with a low A for the year and I know I would not be one of the best kids with other things to do. I have several EC’s although not that would be eating huge hours of my day.
I will be talking to the teachers there again today. I have 2 more days of school left though, lol.
I am worried about World which everyone hated and only some people did well in too. There are people coming out with 95% and people coming out with 85% who are besties and it just depends on how much you cheat and how many papers you can exchange with others because if you do it alone, you wont get more than a 85.
I’m not a smart person, but getting A’s makes me feel confident and when my grades are low I am an emotional mess. For example, I had a bad math group and my math grade (pre-extra credit being entered) is a 91.95 for the 4th quarter when it needs to be a 92. This causes me unreal amounts of anxiety and all. I blame it on them because I have had 2 quarters where my grade was over 100% in the same class
