Scenario for Admissions Disappointment

<p>They have easy majors for gifted athletes who aren’t good students, like health and community services.</p>

<p>We have had athletes recruited from our high school who are well rounded and do very well academically. We have had other students who are amazing at their sport but struggle in the classroom, taking remedial reading to pass the FCAT and still not passing it, yet they get the scholarship. In the latter case, I can’t help but wonder how they fare in college. But, it is my understanding that there are academic advisors who steer them into the least demanding courses.</p>
