Next year I will be a junior in high school. I will be taking these classes:
AP Lit & Comp
AP US History
Honors Geometry
AP Chemistry
AP Environmental Science
Honors Astronomy & Geology
I also participate in school and club swim teams, and practice five days a week.
Will I have time for these classes, and will I struggle?
My GPA is around a 99-100% each time, and am pretty good at every subject.
Thank you!
Do you mean AP Lang & Comp? Most schools (at least where I’m from) have AP Lit as the senior year class, with AP Language as the junior year one. If it is lit, you’ll probably be reading a lot. I hear APUSH got very difficult this year, and AP history courses always require quite a bit of reading. Honors Geometry should be fine, I have no clue about APES but I hear it’s boring/has tons of busywork. AP Chem is the hardest AP at my school;there is literally one person in the class with an A, but apparently the test is easier than the class. Have you taken normal/honors chem before? I would consult some upperclassmen. Honors Astronomy/Geology sounds fun but I don’t know how it is in your school.
How many hours a day do you spend practicing? You have some classes with pretty heavy workloads in there (AP Lit, APUSH, AP Chem, maybe APES), so you’ll want to have excellent time management. Especially since you’re involved in sports, you don’t want to be sleeping badly :stuckouttongue:
AP Lang won’t be offered due to lack of interest, so I’m taking AP Lit as the alternative.
I’ve taken honors chemistry before, and my average for the year was a 98%.
We practice 1.5-2 hours a night.
Depends on teachers… I guess if you are a 100% student you should be able to breeze through… right? I don’t see anything really bad, unless you suck at history or science, then maybe stay away from AP
