Scheduling Conflict with Jan SAT, What to do?

I have an AP Calculus midterm and Honors Chinese final the day before the January SAT. While I only need to improve my Math and Writing scores (I aced the Critical Reading section but did only so-so on the other sections), I don’t want to risk taking two MAJOR tests (3 to 4 hours of midterms/finals the day before) before an actual SAT. I DON’T want to wait until March to take the test again so it’s a tough decision.

I have a few options:

 1. Skip school that day and take finals/midterms another time, which may be difficult
 2. Pay the fee to reschedule in March
 3. Take my finals and take my SAT the next day

I can probably slack off during the critical reading section (that would probably give me around a 750 or so); it was never difficult for me in the first place and I already have an 800, but I’m not sure what I should do.

Advice? Thanks :)

I think you should just take the finals and the SAT (no skipping, no rescheduling, etc.). They’re all pretty important tests and I don’t see the point in avoiding them or putting them off. If you’re prepared, you’re fine.

Of course, that’s just my advice. Ultimately, no one can make the decision for you and you need to decide for yourself.

Good luck!

I would just say suck it up and take the tests. As long as you plan ahead and get plenty of sleep that week (no all-nighters for ANYTHING), I think you should be fine.

Skip classes that contain finals; that’s what I did.

All of my classes have mid-terms (when I have a class that lasts the entire year) or finals. I’m on a block schedule and my second semester ends the day before the SAT :/
