What are the chances of being picked for your first choice? Do people usually get their top choice, or not?

I don’t know… they just make it sound like it will be really hard to get it. I am a bio major and picking Life Sciences as my first choice and I’m assuming it will be competitive… but do people usually get their first choice? Any knows?

The Business ones are usually have the most requests, so more people who request Business find themselves in their 2nd choice… You can always call the Scholars office and ask them. I think you should be OK with Life Sciences…just make sure and get your inventory sent in by the deadline date!

Life Sciences is one of the more competitive programs. Most people get their first choice, but not everyone does. If you’re set on wanting to do LS, make sure that the essay you submit clearly explains why.

Have you considered other programs though? If you’re only picking LS because you’re a bio major (which isn’t necessarily true, I’m just assuming), you will get a lot of biology (a LOT) through your major. Do you have any other interests that fit with a different program that you might consider?
