<p>Hey! I am planning on attending maryland in the fall (phillip merril school of journalism), and in the initial admissions process I missed the cut off for the scholars program by a point on my act and .05 for my GPA. (3.9 gpa and 29 Act). I put in an application for the scholars waitlist, and I was wondering if anyone had heard from them, or about how many people on average get in off the waitlist.</p>
<p>This is not the way CP Scholars are invited to the program. Criteria is not strictly based on GPA, nor is there a cutoff regarding standardized testing scores. ECs are a strong consideration as well. You should just call the program office directly to see if they anticipate movement on a scholars wait list.</p>
