I think that if you ended up receiving a scholarship from NYU, you were notified of their admissions decision today!
My email read:

Dear (name),
On behalf of the Admissions Committee and Dean Patricia Carey, Associate Vice Provost, it is my pleasure to share with you that you have been offered admission to the College of Arts and Science at New York University! Your formal offer of admission will arrive by April 1.
Let me add to this good news an invitation to join one of our most prestigious scholars programs at New York University, the Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholars Program. You are among a select group of students who has demonstrated a commitment to further the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. – through excellence in academic achievement and distinguished leadership.

There was then just more information about the given scholarship and the scholar weekend. I’m sure that April 1st will bring a lot more great news to this board. Good luck to you all!

I was accepted today too!~ This is so exciting! I received the Smilow Scholarship Grant Award. I was never expecting the email. OMG!~ Congratz!~ Good luck to everyone!

If this is true, I’m really disappointed. S can’t go to NYU if he doesn’t get some kind of merit award (we don’t qualify for financial aid). Does this mean he’s out of contention for even a nominal amount of $?

The scholarships awarded today sound like the few big ones NYU awards year. NYU has few opportunities for merit aid, so he may be out of luck. Additionally, many schools will not consider an applicant for merit aid unless they have applied for financial aid. However, if he did apply for aid, there may still be a chance

Wait what is this for? Didn’t acceptances all come out on 2/14 for EDII? And then RD comes out on 4/1? Why did you get this decision email on 3/11?

Lyndak, it seems that those who received a high or full-tuition scholarship were notified yesterday. Not really sure what this means though to be honest. Does that mean that those who didn’t hear are either rejected or not receiving any scholarships?

Ah I received the email saying I got a Smilow scholarship for full tuition yesterday! I didn’t even know NYU gave out these kind of scholarships, I’m so so happy! Can’t wait to attend :))

@flowerpetal96 Ahh congrats! I’m so thrilllllllled lol. literally started hyperventilating on the street when i found out. i’m really excited for the welcome week too! ahhh

Congratz!~ @hilolol OMGG the same thing happened to me!~ LOL i was like freaking out in front of everybody it was crazyyyy I couldnt believe it.

Congratulations everyone! Just to calm my nerves though (a bit jealous as i’ll have to wait till April to get my answer), is the early acceptance thing limited to domestic students or do intl students receive them too?
