Hi! I’m a US citizen from New York who is currently a full-time undergraduate student studying International Studies at Ewha Woman’s University in South Korea. In the application process when I was in High School there was a box stating whether or not I wanted to apply to a specific scholarship, however the confusing wording made it seem like it only applied to exchange students so I did not check it. That left me with no financial aid, considering my school is not available for FASFA, and I have yet to see any scholarships that provide aid for someone in my position except a merit scholarship, which is given extremely sparingly.
Government scholarships administered by South Korea, thus far, are mainly for incoming students (so I can’t apply). I was able to pay for my first three semesters on my savings alone, given tuition is much cheaper, but now I am running low and will be unable to pay unless I beg my parents or take a semester or two off to work at home and save(undesirable).
Therefore, my question is: Are there any scholarships or other type of aid available for students pursuing their entire degree in another country, when their school is not accepted as credible under the US government?
