Im an international student, but I think my request could be interesting, for also resident students in the US. There is a organization, who offers admission and a scholarship for particular colleges in the US for international students. Im interested in an diverse environment, a place where class discussions are encouraged, small classes, and good programs in the communications, journalism, psychology, media, film and business area.
I wanted to ask you what do you think about the following collleges/uni’s. Are they any valuable colleges/uni’s included? Is it worth to apply to this program? Does any of these colleges offer good programs in the areas ive mentioned?

Do some research on these institutions. Do they offer programs in the areas you mentioned being interested in?

Contact a couple of them directly and ask if they really are affiliated with this organization to which you refer. It sounds fishy to me.

None of the colleges in this list has a national reputation. That is not to say that they are not good colleges/universities, just that they are all relative unknowns.

Thank you for your respond. I already did some research, but i will continue to do it.
My intention also was to find out, if one of these colleges are at least in the 2nd or 3rd row of US universities. I know that they do not have the reputation like UC’s, Boston, New York , etc., but I found out, that College of Idaho is published in the Princeton Review 2012. And some of them are ranked in the national university ranking of US News&World Report (placed under the best 200, fe. Montana State University #190, North Dakota State University #181, Maryville University #157) or in the Regional Rankings (Campbellsville University, Elizabethtown College…)

Are you asking if these schools give large merit scholarships to international students?

What are your stats?

I’ve never heard of many of these schools. Where did you get this list?

edited to add…

i notice that you want to go to a CC first and then transfer? If so, then those scholarship opportunities will disappear. Those opps are for INCOMING frosh. Not transfers. Transfers rarely get much.

@mom2collegekids: No, that wasnt my question. There is an organization that provides scholarships in combination with a “guaranteed acception” at these colleges. ([Stipendien USA | Stipendium für ein Studium in den USA](http://www.internationaldoorway.de/) - its a german site; but I heard lots of good things about them). This mentioned colleges, want to increase their international students rate - thats why they offer scholarships for international students, who dont have to show superior notes.

About the CC’s. Yes, that was my plan in the first place, but I still hesitate, because Im not sure if I would be accepted after 2 years to any of my dream schools. Additionally, I still don’t know which CC would be the best for me, since I can’t visit the campus and there are no good reviews for CC’s offered on the market.
