<p>Why are there so many scholarships that are only for women/ give preference to women where as there are virtually none for men only? Since women make up 57% of students on college campuses now there is no “gap to fill” to fill so shouldn’t those scholarships give equal consideration to men?</p>
<p>there are a lot of scholarships that are unisex so stop complaining and apply for those.</p>

<p>In addition, many scholarships are privately endowed, meaning they can give them to whoever they want. I’ve seen scholarships specifically tailored to residents of certain counties and to members of certain churches. It’s not that big of a deal.</p>
