Hey im currently attending The American Musical and Dramatic academy in LA. And I don’t want to live in the school housing anymore, I want to get an apartment are there any scholarships that help you pay for housing that’s not the school housing?? If so can you help me please?

Thanks!

I don’t think you’ll find anything housing-specific, but any scholarship that can be used for “all college expenses” or that doesn’t designate any terms* should work.

*Example: Local scholarships are some that you can usually spend as you wish.

How are you paying for your college housing? Use that money to pay for your apartment.

If the college housing isn’t costing you anything…then stay there.

A decent apt in LA is going to cost a lot. I doubt you, a continuing student, are going to find anything much to help with that.

Hmm yup, your school’s in Hollywood. Getting a cheap apartment close to campus would be a miracle, unless you have several roommates/split up the costs. What’s your ethnicity & income level? The only big enough scholarships* I can think of are the Hispanic Scholarship Fund ones. Anything else I’ve found A) is restricted to science/eng majors or B) involves some heavy-writing, impossible-to-win essay contest.

*Assuming you do split up costs between roommates
