I am a rising Jr in high school interested in finding out more about CMU. It looks like a great school but the cost is very intimidating. I am interested in possibly going into architecture, which at CMU is a 5 year program. If I were lucky enough down the road to get a scholarship of some sort what happens the 5th year? From looking at the website all of the scholarships listed are for 4 years so I assume the 5th year you are on your own. At 42K that would not be possible for me. Has anyone any experience with a situation like this? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I think that CMU’s financial aid/scholarships are extended to 5 years for architecture majors, since it is a 5 year program. I doubt that outside scholarships do the same, though.
