Scholarship Notification

By emailing around, I was able to get my application reconsidered for engineering, and I got in! Like my first acceptance letter, this one said “Your admission file will also be reviewed by the Scholarship Commitee…”, if this actually happens, I may have a shot at an engineering scholarship!?

I wasn’t totally sure I would get in especially when I got this email:

"You can potentially request that your application be reconsidered for the School of Engineering. To do that, you would simply email your request to Brooke Simpson at bls82@pitt.edu. Your application would then be reviewed for the Engineering program and a new admissions decision would be sent to you. Be aware that at this late point in the process, admission to the Engineering program is extremely competitive, so I would highly recommend requesting that reconsideration quickly and sending your strongest scores and grades to us ASAP. "

I got this one from Brooke:

“We understand that you are interested in requesting reconsideration of your application for admission to the Pittsburgh campus of the University of Pittsburgh. Thank you for your correspondence. Please be advised that we have received your request and your file will be sent to the admissions committee for a re-review. Once a final decision has been made, you will be notified via regular mail. Should you have further questions in the meantime, please let us know. Thank you and Good Luck!”

Just thought I’d update the situation and maybe help future applicants. BTW @AwesomePossum, it’s possible that I saw you at UHC admitted students day, not in the morning though because I came late.
