<p>Do you live in a metropolitan area or have critical financial need? I had more luck with scholarships that looked at those factors rather than just race alone. I have a list of scholarships, but those factors are important eligibility requirements for nearly all of them. </p>

<p>And it helps to search for more specific scholarships; they are much less competitive.</p>
