I recieved a couple of scholarships. And for these scholarships, the organizations are requiring a bursar receipt from the school, and they will in turn send a check to the school. Does anyone have any clue what this bursar receipt is/ or when we receive these receipts?

Well, you receive your regular bill in the mail and whatnot, which has how much you owe the school…maybe that’s what they’re talking about?

That’s strange, because my scholarship just automatically sends the check to school, they email me when they get it so I can go sign it, and then I get a receipt saying it’s been posted from Student Services.

Perhaps call the bursar’s office and I’m sure they can give you a clearer explanation.

ah, i had this same problem when i was calling my scholarship people. they wanted an invoice and a w 9 form from duke, so, i emailed the bursar at bursar@duke.edu and gave the bursar the fax number of the organization…and the bursar just faxed the information to them.
